Great Eats ‘Round Town!

Although New Smyrna Beach is known for its pristine white sand beaches and its quaint seaside charm, it is also known for some pretty incredible dining options.

Let’s say you’re looking for lunch and you want to keep things casual, there’s Ocean Breeze on Flagler Avenue – a delightful, open air tiki bar and grill overlooking the ocean – where you can opt for firecracker shrimp that’s on fire or OB’s signature hanger steak salad.

If it’s burgers you long for, keep it on New Smyrna’s Beachside and go to Breakers, which is also located right on the beautiful beach. How about a blue cheese bacon burger or the inferno burger if you dare? Bring a friend because you may need help downing that sucker!

Just take a ride down Flagler Avenue to the Flagler Tavern for tavern treats that are absolutely yummy! Their filet tip wrap is packed with caramelized onions and dripping with gorgonzola; or try the mussels in a wine and garlic sauce. You’ll use their toasted baguettes to soak up every drop!

JB’s Fish Camp is bursting with fresh seafood and nestled in a cozy spot right on the water. Feel free to order up some steamed rock shrimp, clams or oysters by the dozen and watch the boats come in!

If it’s Mexican you prefer, your options are varied. If you stay on Flagler, you can dine at Clancy’s Cantina. There is the locally loved Taco Shack on Dixie Freeway and you’ll find authentic flair at El Patron and Izzy’s Island Tacos and Ice Cream on Atlantic…just to name a few!

Okay, so it is dinnertime and the ladies want to take it up a notch. The Garlic offers Italian fare beyond compare, or nosh atop Norwood’s Restaurant in what they call “The Treehouse,” surrounded by breathtaking ocean views.

You may also choose to stay in luxurious oceanfront accommodations, such as Ebb Tide Condominiums, where you can enjoy your own personally prepared cuisine in a lovely dining room or on your private balcony which offers – yes, you guessed it – more magnificent ocean views!
