Local Movie Theaters For You!

While it is no secret that, here on the Central Florida coast, residents enjoy countless lovely, sunny days, there are still tons of fun things to do when it just happens to rain. Indoor activities in and around the New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach areas include visiting our museums and art galleries. There is also some outstanding antiquing to be had, souvenir shopping and, of course, a myriad of amazing dining venues; but if you haven’t yet had a chance to take in the latest action flick or rom-com you’ve been meaning to see, we also have our fair share of terrific movie theaters…

For comfortable seating and a nice selection of movies, there is the AMC CLASSIC movie theater in New Smyrna Beach at 1401 S. Dixie Freeway (386-416-7936).

If you like your movie beverages to run from Icees to ice cold Coors Light, you may want to buy a ticket at the Regal Pavilion Stadium 14 + RPX at The Pavilion – where you can get everything else you desire, from a shopping excursion to a wide array of lunch or dinner venues – in Port Orange (844-462-7342).

If you prefer your sustenance right at the theater, CX Cinemas, at 1850 Legends Lane in Daytona Beach (386-944-3922), offers an in-house kitchen and bar with made to order snacks, sandwiches and hot off the grill items to enjoy in the lounge or your theater seat. This movie theater is even for rent for parties and corporate events.

There’s also Cinematique at 242 S. Beach Street in Daytona (386-252-3118), Volusia County’s only arthouse cinema.

If your predilection leans more toward live, Broadway-style performances, you may want to consider the Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach at 726 E. 3rd Avenue (386-423-1246) or the Daytona Playhouse at 100 Jessamine Boulevard in Daytona Beach (386-255-2434), which also offers live theatrical performances.
