Parks, Parks, Parks

If you’re looking for something to do, the fun factor is never far out of reach in New Smyrna Beach. There are 11 parks on the “island” of New Smyrna Beach alone, so whether you are looking for riverside or ocean view fun, you’re sure to find both beachside!

Choose from 27th Avenue Beachfront Park with its own boardwalk and basketball and racquetball courts, picnic area and restrooms; Callalisa Park, which is a popular launch area for kayaks and canoes; and Detwiler Park with its five lighted tennis courts, basketball, pickleball and children’s playground. Esther Street Beachfront Park, Grayce Kenemer Barck North Beach Community Park and Marianne Clancy Park offer beach access with plenty of parking. Flagler Avenue Beachfront Park is popular with early risers as well as late day picnickers; Mary Bethune Beach Park offers an oceanside boardwalk and a riverside fishing pier; and Smyrna Dunes Park, perched on 73 acres and surrounded by water on three sides, is a favorite of pets and humans alike!

Then there are the Mainland Parks in New Smyrna Beach, including Christmas Park and Riverside Park where concerts, festivals and tons of other great events are held. Here, you’ll find beautiful parks along the New Smyrna Beach Historic District adorned with shade canopies created by stately oaks, trails for walking, hiking and biking and plenty of ramps for launching boats.

The New Smyrna Beach Northside Parks offer parks for skaters, sports and with playgrounds for your kiddies. Not to be outdone, New Smyrna Beach’s Westside Parks are home to Mary Avenue Park, boasting New Smyrna Beach’s first Community Garden featuring 38 garden plots.

So park it in New Smyrna Beach! There’s no better place to be!
