Dog Beach? Yes Please!

New Smyrna Beach is one of the best spots on earth for a beach vacation. Vacation can be fun for our furry friends too, especially when they can splash about on the beach in New Smyrna!

Smyrna Dunes Park offers 73 pristine, dog-friendly, waterfront acres at the northern tip of New Smyrna Beach. You’ll find this paradise for pooches (and people too!) at 2995 N. Peninsula Avenue.

And while Lighthouse Point Park at 3000 S Atlantic Avenue in Ponce Inlet is not an off-leash dog park; it does offer gorgeous riverfront and lighthouse views, as well as doggie clean-up bags for your puppy dog.

If your fur baby needs some time to run and frolic, don’t forget the dog parks! New Smyrna Beach Dog Park is located at 2641 Paige Avenue.

If you’re out and about and your dog needs to stretch his or her legs, there are plenty of dog park options nearby New Smyrna Beach as well, including:

Barkly Square Dog Park at 1010 N. Ridgewood Avenue in Deland;

Fortunato Park at 2 John Anderson Drive in Ormond Beach;

Plus, Deltona offers Keysville Dog Park at 2461 Keysville Avenue and Dwight Hawkins Park at Riverhead Drive.

In New Smyrna Beach, there is also an assortment of pet-friendly restaurants all over town; and your furry friend can even get a “pup cup” at places like the Frozen Gold ice cream shop right on Route 44!
