Best Places to Take Your Furry Best Friend in New Smyrna Beach

If you’re looking for something for you and your dog to do, you certainly won’t be at a loss in New Smyrna Beach!

Take, for instance, dog-friendly dining. Pretty much everywhere there is an outdoor patio or some type of outdoor seating in New Smyrna Beach, dogs are welcome…including Yellow Dog Eats (of course!), JB’s Fish Camp, River Deck Tiki Bar, Toni & Joe’s Patio, Taco Shack, Third Wave Café & Wine Bar, Corkscrew Bar & Grille, Lost Lagoon, Café Verde, Café Heavenly, SoNapa Grille, Outriggers, Merks, Island Roasters, C’s Waffles, Norwood’s Restaurant & Treehouse Bar, Boston Fish House, Manzano’s Deli, New Smyrna Brewing Company…to name a few!

You can also take your furry friend to Silly Willie’s Pet Boutique for some unique pet accessories and treat shopping – which is always a fan favorite! You’ll find Silly Willie’s at 218 Flagler Avenue. Plus, there are the places that are specifically created for you and your dog, such as the New Smyrna Beach Dog Park at 2641 Paige Avenue, which is a 1.2 acre park with separated sections for small dogs and large dogs, kiddie pools for cooling off, waste bags and receptacles and water fountains for people and dogs.

New Smyrna’s beaches don’t typically allow dogs, but Smyrna Dunes Park welcomes leashed dogs if you’d like to introduce your pup to the beach. Aside from the beautiful scenery, this puppy park has picnic pavilions, observation towers and nature trails. You can also walk the elevated boardwalks before 10 a.m. with your dog. There is a watering area and a place to wash your pooch before heading back home. It costs a $10 one-time fee to park or pay $20 for a yearly pass. People potties as well as disposal bags and receptacles can be found there too. Lighthouse Point Park in nearby Ponce Inlet has a similar setup.
