Summertime Events

The sights, the sounds, the smells of New Smyrna Beach in the summer all culminate to create an oasis of nature’s design. The cool shade gifted by a tall palm, the shimmering light dancing atop the ocean, the fresh salt air with a hint of the magic to come, and come it does…

We’ve got some Q for you July 1st at the New Smyrna Beach BBQ Challenge on Flagler Avenue from 1-5 p.m. Belly up and sample barbeque of all styles when you purchase your tasting passport.

Like red wine? Me too! Don’t miss Red Wine and Blues from 6:30-9:30 July 3rd, with live music and delicious fare at Crimson House in New Smyrna Beach.

Or maybe your taste leans a little more toward the arts and you’d enjoy the Palette Knife Painting with Pamela presentation at The Hub on Canal July 12th.

Honor the graceful flight of our butterflies with a visit to the Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna for its July 20th Monarch Butterfly presentation.

August 4th is time once again for the Annual NSB Shrimp & Seafood Fest on Flagler. Come try out our fresh, local cuisine and see who wins Best on the Beach!

Then, either join The Slo’ Jam (It’s open to all musicians!) or just sit back and enjoy the show on August 23rd at The Hub on Canal from 6-8 p.m.

And, as always, New Smyrna Beach’s historic Canal Street plays host on the first Saturday of every month to a Sip and Stroll for a sampling of craft beers and unique wines, as well as the Art and Artisan Gallery Walk.
